I knew that losing weight would make my body smaller, but I didn't realize it would have such a shrinking effect on my boobs. I actually don't mind it: I enjoy wearing t-shirts, tanks, and halter tops that I would have felt self-conscious in when my bust was bigger. What I'm upset about is that they now resemble flat tires-a problem my current bras aren't helping. Thinking this was a job for an expert, I scheduled an appointment for a fitting at Sylene's in Chevy Chase, Maryland. These ladies have been in the lingerie business for 35 years, and they know their stuff. Cyla, one of the owners, explained that even if your weight goes up or down by 5 pounds, you should get a professional fitting because your size has probably changed. And sure enough, I went from a 38D to a 34B. I walked out with six new styles, all of which gave my bust-and confidence-the lift they needed.
